Our Vancouver office has a position open for a bright, high-energy communications specialist with a serious interest in corporate communications and media relations.

As a communications specialist you will communicate with media and corporate clients while writing, coordinating, implementing and playing a crucial role in Wilcox Group's team-oriented workplace. For this position in our Vancouver office, the communications specialist supports a project manager and an account team, has a substantial research role in assigned projects, is skilled in media monitoring reports and summaries and carries out strategic plans for private and publicly held companies.

The successful candidate will have experience within the public relations industry and is a responsible, well-organized and hardworking team player who brings the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to our fast-paced environment. Communications specialists are adept at researching, writing, editing, and have a solid understanding of media relations. For this position, an understanding of and interest in the capital markets and financially oriented communications as well as an understanding of the unique requirements and parameters for communicating with, and on behalf of, publicly traded companies is an asset.

Two to five years of PR/communications and office experience along with experience with online research and excellent information organizational skills are required.
